100% estate Cabernet Sauvignon from a fifty acre vineyard owned by the Passalacqua family for over 100 years, made by superstar winemaker Nick Goldschmidt (Gary Farrell, Babich, Simi, Boulder Bank, and more!). Aged in small French and American oak barrels. This small family winery sells most of their fruit to a who’s who of Sonoma County producers and keeps the very best fruit for themselves. Full bodied and powerful, with ripe blackberry, cocoa, juicy plum, tobacco, leather and subtle baking spice. PLenty of delicious earthy/balsamic/umami notes from the few years of bottle age here. This is always a crowd pleaser and very well priced for the quality- and should continue to drink well for another 5+ years.
