35% Carignane, 30% Teroldego, 33% Tannat, 2% Zinfandel all farmed sustainably (certified) and organically (uncertified). Native yeast fermentation. Each varietal was vinified separately and blended before bottling. Aged 14 months in French oak (1 year or older). 13.9% alcohol. 1,274 cases made. A lush, velvety, attractive wine with beautiful fruit flavors and balance. Entry is of black raspberry and black cherry, pomegranate, tar and peppery spice, rich minerality. Great acid balance, soft texture. Long, spicy, fruit-driven finish. Very food friendly. Winemakers/owners/married couple Michael and Anne Dashe collectively worked at Château Lafite-Rothschild, Château La Dominique, Ridge Vineyards, Cloudy Bay, Far Niente, Chappellet, and Schramsberge before starting this winery.
