2018 Lambert Estate Shiraz 'The Commitment'

100% sustainably farmed Shiraz. Aged 24 months in a combination of French and American oak hogsheads (large barrels). 15.0% alcohol. Deep, dark purple in color exuding aromas of blackberries and cherry cola complimented with hints of eucalyptus, licorice, nutmeg and black pepper.  The palate comes alive with tastes of sweet berries and light vanilla complexed with characters of cloves, cinnamon, coffee, fennel and dark chocolate.  Velvety, soft tannins tensioned with tight acidity create a long toasty, cherry licorice finish. Lambert is a small, husband and wife team. They are really ecologically-minded and use solar, water reclamation, recycling and sustainable/organic farming practices.
