100% Plavac Mali from two Dalmatian vineyards- Sv. Roko in Komarna and Sv. Lucia in Dingac. Hand harvested. Aged in large wooden tanks, concrete and small barrique barrels. Full bodied and dry (Plavac Mali is often made to be slightly off-dry, with raisinated fruit). Dark ruby in color, this wine offers a nose of pomegranate, milk chocolate and aniseed. It opens with vibrant cherry and pomegranate flavors, quickly followed by lush tannins and notes of dark chocolate, anisette, crumbled sage, exotic cardamom and background fruit of blueberry, blackberry and mulberry. Intense notes of coffee with nutty elements in the background round up this rich Plavac Mali. The bold acidity is a good match for the tannic structure. Still has cellarability- decant to drink now.
94 points, Wine Enthusiast. "Deep garnet in the glass, this wine has a nose of cassis, dried thyme and smoke. It is pleasantly minty, with flavors of eucalyptus, clove, blackberry, cherry and sage. Silky tannins make way for a floral-scented finish."
