2018 Under the Wire Blanc de Blancs 'Sangiacomo Vineyard'

100% Chardonnay from the famous Sangiacomo Vineyard- a unique block that was planted in 1982 known as “Catarina’s. Bright, fresh, and lemony on the nose, with hints of biscuit and vanilla. Vibrantly fruity on entry, gravelly minerality with a touch of lees on the mid-palate, all leading to a bright, zesty finish. The fruit profile is evocative of what came before there were vines planted here- with pomme fruits like pear, quince and baked red apples kissed with a touch of saltiness from the bay coming to the fore. Thoroughly delightful. Drinks like fine Champagne. This is the new sparkling wine project from Morgan Twain-Peterson and Chris Cottrell, the folks behind Bedrock Wine Company.
