85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 4% Petite Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec. Aged for 18 months in 50% new French oak. 40% estate fruit. Fourteen vineyards play a role in the CRU bottling, including valley floor and mountain Cabernet and Malbec, valley floor Petit Verdot and Merlot, and bench land Cabernet Franc blocks. Medium-full bodied, rich and structured. Notes of warm cassis, plum preserves and blueberry compote with hints of chocolate mint and candied violets with a touch of tapenade. The palate is elegantly styled and refreshing, with plenty of crunchy black fruits. Classic Napa Cab that’s already drinking well but will improve for another 5-10 years.
