100% Pinot Noir from this Brutocao estate vineyard in Philo. Clones are Pommard, 115 and 777. Hand picked and fermented with 50% whole clusters. Aged 18 months in 33% new French oak. 14.2% alcohol. 2,681 cases made. This new world, modern-styled Pinot shows off bold, ripe cherry and strawberry fruit accented by smoky, toast oak notes of cinnamon and baking spice. Full bodied and smooth, with more ripe red fruits, chocolate and spicy oak notes on the palate. In 1910, the Brutocao family brought with them a love for wine when they emigrated from Treviso, Italy (a small town near Venice). The family sold their fruit to other wineries in the area until 1980. Today, the fourth generation of the Brutocao family still owns and operates the wienry’s 400 acres of estate vineyards in the Anderson Valley and Hopland.
