Primarily Merlot. Aged 14 months in French oak. 14.5% alcohol. This is a Pomerol that is ripe, supple and fruit forward and plenty of depth. Drinkable in its youth, it is very accessible and satisfying with great balance of earthy, blackberry, plum and raspberry fruit. Hint of tobacco and a distinct, refreshing eucalyptus note running throughout. Good concentration, lightly oaked, licorice and five spice notes finishing with measured acidity and nicely textured tannins. Château Fleur d’Eymerits is a tiny, 2.5 acre Merlot-focused winery in Lalande de Pomerol, Bordeaux, acquired by Vincent Lagrave in 2013. Situated on a clay/gravel terroir, the 50-year-old vines produce around 7,000 bottles annually. The wines are known for their bold, fruity, and accessible style.
