A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, all organically farmed. These vineyards are sandwiched between those of Châteaux Léoville-Poyferré and Léoville-Las Cases. Sorted three times and aged in two-thirds new oak for 18 months. Cherries, smoke and herbs are what you find in the core of this early-drinking, medium-bodied, soft-fresh, easy-to-like wine. The wine finishes with sweet, red fruits and a touch of peppery chocolate. Elegant and vibrant, this is going to be just great to enjoy on release and for almost a decade after that. Drink now-2031. Château la Bridane has been in the Saintout family since the end of the 17th century. Centuries later with Bruno Saintout at the helm, Château La Bridane is one of a few family estates in Saint-Julien working under the label “Vigneron Independent”.
91 points, James Suckling. "Quite smoky with some coffee, this is quite a dry, firm wine, but there’s good cassis there, too, and it emerges slowly with aeration. A blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, petit verdot and cabernet franc. Better from 2021."
