55% Grenache Noir, 25% Cinsault, 10% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah; all certified organic and grown on 40+ year old vines on one of the oldest estates in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, dating back to 1560. Hand-harvested grapes are partially destemmed and put into vats for a long maceration of 4 weeks. Aged for 12 months in a mix of foudre, truncated vats, and barrels before blending. Dense garnet with a purple border. The intense bouquet reveals aromas of cherry, black currant, and olives with spicy and floral touches. The tannins are ripe and the finish is long and deep. The 2019 vintage had almost perfect growing conditions. Overall yields were good, allowing production of rich and dense wines with lots of aromatics and a remarkable length in the finish, promising great aging potential.
