100% Alicante Bouschet (aka Garnacha Tintorera) from granite and schist soils. Fully destemmed and gently crushed. Aged for 12 months in 500-liter French oak barrels, which included both new and previously used barrels. 14.0% alcohol.
Dark in color, and bold without being heavy. This shows off a rich nose of blackberry, plum, chocolate, pepper, black tea and oak. Medium bodied , dry, and drinks lighter than you expect it to, although there’s some tannin underneath the fruitiness. This wine is ideal with BBQ, smoked meats, grilled vegetables or roasted lamb.
