2019 Lepiane Barbera

100% sustainably farmed Barbera from one of the more inland vineyards in Santa Ynez Valley.. This brambly, juicy Barbera is both exotic and familiar with notes of plum that give way to more savory aromas of graphite and sage. The mouth is clean and rounded with bright punctuated acidity. Fresh, lean, and food friendly; medium plus in body with light tannin and medium acidity.  14.4% alcohol. 87 cases made. Winemaker Alison Thomson handcrafts small amounts of Italian and French varietals for his side project, named after her grandfather, who was a home winemaker. Her day job is making the wine and running the show for Two Wolves, Pink’s winery.
