100% organic Nebbiolo sourced from the Meriame Vineyard in Serralunga d’Alba. Naturally fermented and aged in large oak casks for two years, this wine is powerful, muscular and complex. It has a classic nose of roses, violets, tar, herbs and ripe dark fruits leading into a palate full of dusty, meaty, savory red and dark fruit. The texture of the wine is surprisingly elegant- the itnerplay of fresh acidity and drying tannin balance each other out nicely. While still young, this will be approachable in the midterm- it’s not super lean or overly tannic. The Viberti estate in La Morra was founded by Osvaldo’s grandparents, and he now farms the 25 acre estate with his wife Carla and children Anna and Paolo. Fewer than 300 cases produced.
