Both alcoholic and the subsequent malolactic fermentation were completed in 225-litre American oak barrels, in which the wine was left to age for a further five months, with regular bâtonnage. 14.5% alcohol.  Founded in 1973 by a group of Basque friends who wanted custom wines for their gastronomy club, Bodegas Beronia is a renowned winery located in Ollauri in the Rioja Alta subregion of Spain. Famous for its classic, food-friendly Rioja styles, the estate was purchased by the González Byass family in 1982.
