2020 Christophe Marin 'Origines' Grenache

Christophe Marin is a newly installed, passionate, and experienced winegrower based in Maury who draws much of his winemaking philosophy from his time in Burgundy, the majority of which he spent working as the cellar master at Domaine Vincent Girardin. Old vines are the focus, with all plots 70+ years old.100% Grenache Noir. Organic & biodynamic. Aged in 228 L barrels and 500 L oak demi-muids for eight months. Very clean, fruit-focused wine. Black cherries, raspberries, notes of cloves. Some additional secondary aromas recalling soil after a summer rain. Very dry and present, yet soft tannins. Very bright acidity. Good food wine.
