2020 Clos Manou 'Petit Manou' Bordeaux

83% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc; farmed organically. Hand harvested and aged for one year in French oak (50% one year old, 50% two years old). Bottled unfined and with minimal sulphur. This is a beautiful blend from a mix of gravel, sand and limestone soils, which show nicely. The wine is full-bodied and luscious with a gravelly backbone that adds wonderful texture. Great value for money. Beautiful crisp purple color. Intriguing mocha, cured sausage, and flower blossoms on the nose. Ripe raspberry fruit, elegant oak, cocoa, and vanilla come together in a round, well-balanced wine with an alluring, drawn-out, mineral finish. Very fruit- driven, round and harmonious; a wine to be enjoyed at any time. Ready to serve!
