While Tom Meadowcroft made his name planning vineyards and pruning vines for some of the most iconic properties in California—names like Opus One, Cakebread, Duckhorn, Stags Leap—he always dreamed of founding his own project based on these principles. Ripe blackberries and chocolate with some black olives, tobacco leaves and dark spices. Round and creamy on the palate, with just enough kick of energy and freshness to give a lift to the ripe, medium- to full-bodied palate. Good length and balance.
