100% sustainably grown Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from vineyards from concentrated, rich sites throughout California.. Whole cluster pressed and fermented with native yeasts, and aged in a combination of new and neutral barrels. 2700 cases made. 13.5% alcohol.
Tasting Notes
Light to medium bodied, smooth and fresh for California Cab. Blackberry, blueberry, licorice, red cherry, eucalyptus, leather, vanilla, cocoa and hard spices. This has all the deep flavors of Cab without the harsh tannin- have it with your weeknight burgers or barbecue!
About Delta Wine Co.
The Delta label is a project launched by winemaker Matt Iaconis (from the spectacular sparkling wine producer Brick & Mortar Wines) and his wife Alexis, who is also a wine professional (in fact, Alexis was a leader in Mike’s online study group). Matt has spent time working harvests at Antica Napa Valley, Kim Crawford New Zealand, Cape Mentelle in Australia, and Justin Vineyards in Paso Robles. Alexis spent ten years working as a sommelier in wine country, and achieved the Advanced Sommelier Certificate form the Court of Master Sommeliers in 2012. While working as the wine director for Michelin Three Star The Restaurant at Meadowood in Napa Valley, Alexis met Matt. They wanted to make GOOD, affordable wines that would be a vehicle for them to do something good for their community and the environment. They donate $1.00 from every Delta bottle sold to multiple local organizations making a positive impact on the fight for environmental causes because they believe in their work, such as Cool Effect and the Surfrider Foundation.
