100% organic Riesling from estate vineyards on granite soils. Hand harvested and softly pressed. Fermented with native yeasts in steel.
Easy going, extremely drinkable, and an excellent value. Citrus, apricot, pear and light minerality and honey notes on a light bodied, clean, and dry frame. Not the most complex but easy to enjoy with or without food.
Since 1688, the Ruhlmann family has pursued its passion for wine in Dambach-la-Ville. Over generations, the Ruhlmann estate has expanded to nearly 75 acres, a major portion of which are grands crus and wines named for a specific locality. André Ruhlmann is the face behind the family’s slogan, “Créateur de vins” (Creator of Wines). Having spent his entire life among the vines, André loves taking the time to share his discoveries—some of them accidental—made along his journey with wine. L’Étoile de Rose, Le Péché de Sylvaner, Pinot Gris—each new cuvée is the result of a long refinement process, with a story uniquely its own. Rather than relying on technical jargon to impress novices, he prefers to describe his wines through the language of sensation. It’s no coincidence that he favors the term “gardens,” inspired by the German Weingarten, which carries a more poetic meaning, deeply connected to the land and its values.
