55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Petit Verdot, 17% Cabernet Franc and 4% Merlo; all sustainably farmed on Le Vigne’s estate vineyards just north of downtown Paso. Spends 25 months in new French & American oak barrels. On the nose hints of black currant and blueberry lead into cedar, cardamom, and turmeric aromas. A full-bodied mouthfeel that has rich fruit notes of fresh black cherry and plum that finish with pistachio and baking spice flavors. Long and velvety, with lingering notes of spice, mocha, and earthy minerality. The estate was founded in the early 1960s when the family of winery owner Sylvia Filippini purchased the property where Le Vigne winery now stands. Hay and cattle were the main commodities until 1982 when the first grapevines were planted.
