100% Sangiovese Grosso from the youngest vines on the property, grown in the Park of the Val d’Orcia, a Unesco World Heritage Site in Montalcino. Native yeast fermenation in steel; aged in large Slavonian oak. 14.5% alcohol. 4,100 bottles made. Intense ruby in color, the wine opens with aromas of red cherry, currant, violet, and subtle spice. The palate is dry and warm yet fresh, showing balanced tannins, savory mineral notes, and persistent red fruit carried through a refined finish. Structured but easy to drink — exactly the point. Drinking beautifully now with a short 30–45 minute decant. Expected to evolve gracefully over the next 5–7 years. Sasso di Luna is produced by Sasso di Sole, a Montalcino winery founded by the Terzuoli family, whose agricultural history in the area dates back to the 17th century.
