An organic field blend of 80% Merseguera and 16 other local varieties from the single “La Horca” vineyard in La Mata Natural Park. La Mata is a magical place with ancient vineyards standing just a few meters from the beach and the salt flats. This natural park surpasses extreme weather and salinity conditions that provide an incredible personality to the wines. Hand picked, native yeast fermented, and aged 4 months in barrels made with Cantueso liquor. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with no added suplhites- zero/zero! An aromatic nose of mint, bay leaf, dried herbs, jasmine, and citrus zest leads into a lean, dry light bodied wine with similar flavors, just a bit of pleasant funk and high acidity.
