100% Pinot Noir from an unspecified (read: secret) vineyard located on a hilltop at 400ft in the west part of Russian River Valley, right outside Green Valley AVA, about 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The maritime cool climate helps the vines develop a fantastic level of acidity. Fruit is hand picked and cluster sorted. Fermented in steel and aged for 18 months in French oak (15% new and 85% neutral). 14.1% alcohol. Classic RRV Pinot here, with that characteristic ripe red cherry cola, savory rhubarb, light earthiness and medium-full, rich and smooth body.
