2022 Château Trinquevedel Tavel Rosé

60% Grenache, 13% Clairette, 13% Syrah, 10% Cinsault, 3% Mourvèdre, 1% Bourboulencfrom 35 year old vines. fter pressing the grapes for 18 hours, the wine was directly pressed and fermented in cement tanks for 3 weeks.  It has a nice fleshy texture on the palate, which crescendos in fruit intensity and minerality with enough aeration. Guillaume Demoulin is the fourth generation of his family to farm the beautiful vineyards of Château de Trinquevedel, located in Tavel, the only AOC in France to be completely dedicated to rosé wines.  A fun wine that reflects the intensely stony and herbal nature of southern Rhône terroirs in the same way that our favorite reds from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, or Vacqueyras can.
