2022 Clos de la Barthassade Terrasses du Larzac 'Les Gravettes'

Terrasses du Larzac is a young appellation that has quickly proven itself as a home for top-quality wines. Winemakers Guillame and Hélène Baron have hand-selected every vineyard plot and the varieties grown within. The wines draw comparisons to far more famous appellations, such as Côte Rôtie, making this lineup a superb value for money. 55% Grenache, 30% Cinsault, 15% Syrah. Organic. Bio- dynamic. Partial whole clusters (60% for the Gre- nache and 50% for the Syrah). 17 months aging in demi-muids, barriques, and concrete eggs. A totally seductive wine that is smooth and supple that displays layers of flavors on the palate including black fruits and black cherry. Lovely long finish with hints of dried herbs mixed in with the dark fruit. Extremely harmonious.
