100% Pinot Noir from two terroirs: Les Vris (located in the extreme north of Ladoix, at the foot of the hillside) and Les Pièces (located at the entrance to the Côte de Nuits). Hand harvested and fully destemmed. Fermented in concrete and aged in French oak for 12 months. This is a classic, crissp, fruity villages-level wine with notes of ripe raspberry, cherry, mulberry, licorice and oak with a very nice floral overtone. Light and fresh, with juicy red berry flavors, fairly light tannins, and brisk acidity.
The Ravaut estate is a historical reference in the village of Ladoix-Serrigny, an appellation in the north of the Côte de Beaune, at the foot of the Corton hill. The family has been producing wine there since 1920, with Pierre, the sixth generation now working alongside his father, Gaston. Great value here.
