2022 Evesham Wood Pinot Noir Eola-Amity Hills

100% dry farmed Pinot Noir from vineyards (including prize sites like  the estate’s own Le Puits Sec , Sojourner and Koosah) that are either sustainable or organic.  Fully destemmed; aged for 17 months in 15% new French oak. 13% alcohol. 900 cases made. 2022 was a cold vintage, with reduced yields due to frost and a very late harvest. The wines that resulted are spectacular and ageworthy. 

95 points, Decanter. "The Eola-Amity Hills Cuvée comes from four vineyards, which include the estate Le Puits Sec. This is a wine that offers an incredible value for Pinot Noir and can be had for under $40. Fresh and lively aromatics of tart cranberries, fresh spearmint and white pepper leap forward from the glass. The palate is complex and vibrant, with tart red bramble fruits, a squeeze of blood orange and mouthfuls of crushed violets that finish with a seaspray minerality."

93+ points, Vinous. "The 2022 Pinot Noir Eola-Amity Hills Cuvée is a seductress, woodsy and savory at first as gorgeous notes of crushed raspberry meet blue and purple florals. It’s round and supple yet not weighty in feel, with cool-toned acidity and crisp wild berry fruits that are nicely accentuated by a tinge of sweet spice toward the close. An air of ground clove and cedar lingers above a bed of well-formed tannins as this finishes long and gently structured. The balance here promises future development."
