2022 Jean Teiller Menetou-Salon Blanc

100% certified organic and biodynamic Sauvignon Blanc. Hand harvested and fermented with native yeasts in mostly stainless steel, with 5% of the blend seeing older barrels. Bottled unfined and unfiltered according to the biodynamic calendar. This is a lovely  and fruit-forward Savvy B with aromas of ripe grapefruit, lemon, peach, honeydew melon and green apple. Not a lot of green grassy notes here.  Medium bodied, with crisp, refreshing acidity and a smooth, balanced mouthfeel. Domaine Jean Tellier was founded in the 1950’s by Leon Millet. The domaine took forward strides in the 1970’s with the hard work of Jean and Denise Tellier (Leon’s daughter) who believed in the future of Menetou-Salon and worked to enhance the appellation’s reputation.  Jean passed away in 1996 but his grandaughter Patricia and her husband Oliver now run the estate.
