Product Details

Appellation/Region: Willamette Valley

100% Pinot Noir from some exceptional vineyard sites- Witness Tree, Sojeau, Koosah Farm, Sylvia’s and X-Omni. 95% of the fruit is from the Eola-Amity Hills. Hand picked and native yeasts. Aged for about 14 months in barrel on the lees, then close to six months in steel. No fining or additives of any kind save for a bit of SO2. Bottled with a light filtration. 13.1% alcohol. 890 cases made.  Lovely vanilla lift with focused red fruit aromas against turned soil and spices.  Highly aromatic with an inviting pop of berry fruits, flowers, and earth tones.  Pure, intense drive, certainly more red than dark, opening to a savory and mineral understory, almost wet stone.  Palate is juicy and firm, with mild grip that accelerates the movement from front to back.  Persistent and fresh— no extra fat or richness— finishing clean, together, and well integrated.

92 points, Vinous. "Wild and woodsy, the 2022 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley bursts from the glass with an enticing mix of wild berries, pine shavings, rubbed sage and a dusting of spice. This is rounded in feel, with a balanced inner sweetness and crisp red fruits that flow across a tension-building brisk acidity. Pleasantly chewy and exceptionally long, the 2022 leaves a sweet-and-sour sensation that keeps this taster looking back at the glass for more. (EG)"
