2023 Domaine Laporte Pouilly-Fumé 'Les Duchesses'

100% certified organic Sauvignon Blanc from the hillsides of Saint-Laurent l’Abbaye and Saint-Père, situated in the village of Les Loges. All stainless steel.  This wine is made in an inviting style. Lemon in color, it has a nose of green apple, Bosc pear and quince. On the palate the wine reveals additional notes of honeydew melon and lemon citrus. This is the perfect Pouilly Fumé to introduce to friends as an alternative to Sancerre. Domaine Laporte is the result of a perfect blending of two renowned Sancerre families. Founded in 1850 in the village of Saint-Satur, Domaine Laporte was run for decades in the mid-20th century by René Laporte. Then, in 1986, well-known winegrower from Chavignol Henri Bourgeois purchased the domaine from René, keeping the old vineyard, cellar and house and maintaining the excellent reputation.
