100% biodynamic Nebbiolo from Gian Luca’s own old vineyard in Roddi, fermented with native yeasts and roughly 20-25 days of maceration with submerged cap. Aged in a combination of large, neutral Austrian cask and sometimes amphora, for 12-14 months. 14% alcohol. This is a juicy, subtle, elegant Nebbiolo offering notes of wild berries, forest floor and a super focused, delicate finish. The submerged cap method imbues the wine with fabulous aromatics and a softer, more approachable style that balances fruit and herbaceous elements perfectly. The definition of a baby Barolo- and one of the best out there! In Piedmont, Gian Luca Colombo is the guy that everyone talks about. Colombo is the guy that everyone wants advice from. He won the Gambelli award for best young winemaker in Italy.
