70% Sciaccarello, 30% Niellucciu (aka Sangiovese), farmed organically (uncertified). We love Corsican rosé! Dry, crisp, and intriguing, this wine can’t help but remind you of the Mediterranean. It’s so fresh, with whiffs of wild herbs, fresh strawberries, and sea spray blowing in your face. Despite the light color, it’s surprisingly weighty and dense on the palate, with mouthwatering but not tart acidity running through everything. Great by itself but has enough body to stand up to hearty food like grilled sausages, salmon, or hearty cheeses. The name Eric Poli is almost synonymous with Corsican wine. In addition to working as director at Domaine de Piana (his family’s 75-acre estate on Corsica’s East Coast), he also makes the wines for his wife’s family estates—Clos Teddi, and Clos Alivu.
