100% organic Pinot Noir from 22 year old Dijon Clone vines at the Bassi Vineyard, located on the hillsides of Avila Valley, 1 mile from Avila Beach. This bottling is a unique snapshot of coastal California, some of the closest vines to the Pacific Ocean in California. Fermented with native yeast and 70% whole-clusters. Pressed once dry in our wooden basket press then aged for 10 months in neutral french oak barrels. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulphur. 12.6% alcohol. 291 cases made. Light bodied and delicate, with a pure nose of red fruits, cherry blossoms, blueberries and hints of cinnamon. The palate is light-bodied, balanced and silky, with an impressive grip considering its weight class. The finish is persistent, elegant and nuanced, with lifted fruit flavors and a chalky, sandy finish.
