2023 Valravn Chardonnay Sonoma County

100% Chardonnay hand harvested from select vineyards - a core of Russian River Valley fruit with cut barrel selections from Marine Layer designated wines (all Sonoma Coast), including Bohemian, Heintz, Gaps Crown, Hawk Hill, and MLV Estate vineyards. Wild yeast primary fermentation occurred in barrel (80% French oak) and stainless steel tank. This was followed by malolactic fermentation which was completed for depth and richness to the otherwise crisp, high acid wine. The wine then aged for ten months in French oak barrels (20% new - Damy, Cavin, and Tremeaux) with monthly batonnage.
