100% organic Lambrusco Salamino. This was the world’s first single-vineyard Lambrusco, coming from the prestigious Tenuta La Rampata vineyard, farmed on Cordone Speronato (cordon trained and spur pruned) vines in clay soil with highly limited yields. Naturally fermented. 2022 was a difficult vintage, with hailstorms in the spring and a hot summer. Fortunately the fall ushered in some cooler weather and rain which help the vines produce beautifully mature fruit. While yields were low, the quality remained high, with exceptional concentrated fruit notes. This forward and plump Lambrusco is a bundle of blackberries, macerated black cherries and savory spices from the get-go. The aromas carry over to the palate with an addition of floral and game notes that give the wine more depth. Soft and fizzy, this wine can only bring smiles. 11.5% alcohol.
