Roughly 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is produced with cold maceration followed by fermentation in stainless steel vats and aged approximately 15–18 months in French oak barrels.
The 2000 La Fleur de Boüard opens with deep plum, black cherry, cassis, and subtle notes of tobacco, dried herbs, and cedar. The palate is medium- to full-bodied with silky, mature tannins and a lingering savory finish that shows both elegance and classic Right Bank warmth.
Founded in 1998 by Hubert de Boüard of Château Angélus, La Fleur de Boüard was created to showcase the potential of the Lalande-de-Pomerol plateau. Through investments in modern equipment and meticulous vineyard work, the estate quickly became known for producing some of the most polished, high-performing wines in the appellation.
