83% Furmint and 17% 17% Hárslevelu. Many different plots, were harvested and vinified separately. Fermentation in barrels of 225 and 500-litres, mostly of 2 to 5 years old, 10% new Hungarian (Zemplén) oak. Aged for two years in the same oak as fermentation. Blended and then aged together in tank for five months with full lees. Almost like Chablis mixed with Riesling, mineral and taut, yet with more exoticism in its tropical fruits, herbs, notes of honey and flowers. Hints of salts and leafy green herbs join cool orchard fruits on the nose, with just a touch of nutty barrel character, with a super-dry palate full of pithy citrus intensity, and exotic spices adding to the lingering finish. Starting to develop some petrol notes on the nose and soften a bit in acidic intensity with time in the bottle. Really interesting and impressive wine with tons of food pairing options.
