An unspecified blend of sustainably farmed Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Fully destemmed, fermented in steel, and aged for 21 months in 65% neutral barrel and 35% concrete. 14.8% alcohol. On the nose there are notes of muddled wild raspberries and strawberries followed by crushed red rock and autumn spices. The palate is full-bodied and showcases layers upon layers of fruit, earth, and texture. The palate shows off dark cherry compote, brambly blackberry, dried herbs, fresh cracked black pepper, loamy earth and leather. Medium tannin and acid that have softened a bit with time in the bottle. Good afternoon early evening Syrah with bbq ribs, steaks or hearty hamburgers on the grill or with a heavily herbed pork loin or lamb roast.
92 points, Wine Enthusiast. "A heady mix of graphite, licorice, cassis, leather and dried flower converges on the nose of this Rhône blend. A streak of anise runs across the palate, with fennel pollen flavors sprinkled atop graham cracker, black pepper and boysenberry paste elements."
