100% Pinot Noir. The Eola-Amity AVA can be rendered essentially as a rectangular zone running north-south. The northern third is in Yamhill County; the southern two-thirds fall into Polk county (the legal border runs on a straight horizontal). This is sourced from various sites in the southern part of the Eola-Amity AVA. The co-ferment of Justice and Lewman produced four barrels (one new), the balance of two barrels from Sojeau. Combined as a blend in December of 2019 after almost 15 months on lees, spending an additional month in tank before bottling. 145 cases made. 2019 was a cooler vintage. Winemaker Will Hamilton called this his most elegant wine of the vintage, and the little bit of extra bottle age on it has served it well. Striking dark cherry against lavender, rose petal, and bramble. Medium bodied and still quite snappy and fresh.
