100% organic Pinot Noir from this vineyard located at the bottom of the Ladoix hill, protected entirely by high stone walls, with soil composed of limestone debris with flint and clay. The vineyard itself is right next to the line demarcating the Aloxe Corton 1er cru. Hand harvested, fully destemmed, fermented with native yeasts and aged for 12 months in 15% new, locally sourced and made barrels. 13.0% alcohol. 4,500 bottles made. Excellent quality to price ratio here for red Burgundy. Aromas and flavoes include dark cherries, dark plums, blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries, along with a hint of spice. There is a medium to full body, perfect balance and acidity, and a long and persistent finish. Elegant and structured.
