2020 Dunham Cellars Red Blend 'Trutina'

53% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged 20 months in 18% new oak, 16% second fill oak and 66% neutral. 13.9% alcohol.  Trutina is Latin for “balance,” making it a fitting name for this wine. Big and bold, with an earthy nose of tobacco, black cherry, blackberry, vanilla and baking spice. Full bodied, dry and mouthcoating, with flavors of tart cherry and juicy plum underneath more ripe blackberry and dusty sage notes. Dense and textured. Dunham Cellars makes its home in a rustic, remodeled World War II era airplane hangar in Walla Walla, Washington, and will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2025.
