65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot , all estate grown and certified sustainable, presents all the strengths of the Keenan Mountain top estate; great structure, deep dark fruit and a classic balance of sweet and savory elements. 14.3% alcohol. 3,500 cases made. Dark cherries, licorice, chocolate, cedar, and blackberry pie on the palate. This is a full bodied wine with a super long finish. Bright acidity, rich, silky tannins. Even though it is still young, it is drinking well now. Very nicely balanced between fruit, tannin and acid. This classic Bordeaux styled blend will respond to many types of cuisine and will age gracefully in the cellar for many, many years. Drink now or decades from now. This classic winery was founded in 1974 by Robert Keenan and is now run by his son, Michael.
