100% biodynamically grown Sangiovese from the single “Sogni & Follia” (which translates to “dreams & madness”) vineyard on the western side of Montalcino. Hand harvested, fermented with native yeasts, and aged for 24 months in large oak barrels and a further 8 months in concrete before bottling unfined and unfiltered with very low (30ppm) sulphur additions. 14.0% alcohol. 20,000 bottles made. This is a great “baby Brunello” that shows off classic aromas of ripe red raspberry, tart cherry, cranberry, and dried black cherry, along with savory notes of earth, balsamic and dried flowers. Medium to full bodied with great concentration, moderately grippy tannins, bright acidity and an extremely long finish. Drinkable and accessible now but will continue to age for another 10+ years.
