100% Greco du Tufo from 40 year old estate vineyards at 2,100’ elevation in the regions of Marotta and Montefusco, just north of Avellino. Hand-harvested. Full-cluster press; fermented on native yeasts and aged in tank on fine lees for two years. 13.5% alcohol. This is Vadiaperti’s top Greco! Medium-full bodied and very textured, with Greco di Tufo’s trademark structure providing a bright background to the wine’s natural weight. Both fruity and savory, with notes of lemon oil, grapefruit rind, mint, honey and river rocks. Since the end of the nineteenth century, the Troisi family has championed the wines of Irpinia, a historic vine-growing area in northern Campania. Raffaele Troisi’s father Antonio was one of the first growers to bottle a single-variety Fiano wine, while Raffaele himself was the first to bottle a single-variety Coda di Volpe.
