2020 Westgate (Côtière) Cabernet Franc

100% Cabernet Franc from the low-yielding, Ssustainably-farmed Curtis Vineyard in the warm interior end of Santa Ynez Valley. Aged in 20% new French oak barrels for 20 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. Only 140 cases made. Classic Cabernet Franc aromatics, with hints of underbrush and pencil shavings. This has the classic aromatics that only Cabernet Franc can bring you, with hints of underbrush and pencil shavings on the nose. A wonderful core of dark spiced plum, dark berries, a hint of toast from the new oak, black pepper and leather are all nicely supported by good acidity and ripe tannins - which gives this wine exceptional length and a savory finish.
