100% Assytriko from “young” vines averaging 50 years old, grown in the lower elevation areas of Santorini. Fermented with native yeasts and aged on the lees for six months in stainless steel to rpeserve freshness. 13.4% alcohol. Tastes like summer! Intense fruity aromas, with melon and pear overcoming. Ripe citrus fruits, mainly lemon and lime, balance perfectly with the austere typical minerality and delicate notes of herbs and wet stone. Great palate intensity, with long and complex aftertaste. Born of lava rock and salty sea breeze, let the layers of volcanic perfection transport you to the island. By Santorini standards, Artemis Karamolegos is a very young winery. Founded in 1953, Artemis mostly made wine for his family and friends and sold what was left over to local taverns and restaurants. In 2003 his grandson, also named Artemis, took over and begun modernizing the place.
