100% Tinto de Toro (aka Tempranillo) from 40 year old vines. Aged in American oak for 6 months. Full bodied, rich, concentrated and powerful, this shows off fruit and oak driven aromas of blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, vanilla, cocoa, cinnamon, cedar and freshly cracked black pepper. Richly textured, with chewy tannins and soft, plush acidity. 14.5% alcohol. The name 24 Mozas refers to a traditional song of Toro folklore involving 24 young girls (mozas) going to a wedding. Founded in 2009, Bodegas Divina Proporción farms 22 hectares (55 acres) of vines, mostly of Tempranillo but also some Cabernet Sauvignon. Located in the heart of Castilla y León, the Toro appellation has gained international recognition for its powerful and expressive wines. This region, bathed by the Duero River, is home to ancient vineyards that have been the mainstay of its winemaking tradition for centuries.
