100% organic Chardonnay from one of the coolest climates down under. The Wilyabrup subregion of Margaret River is widely acclaimed by industry pundits as the source of Australia’s finest Chardonnay. Native yeast fermentation in French barrique and aged 10 months in 30% new French barrique (60%) and stainless-steel (40%) . 13.0% alcohol. Bright, pale gold in color. Shy at first, it soon opens up with aromas of yellow peach, apricot and nectarine along with wet stone, toasted brioche and sea salt. The palate delivers a broad powerful array of ripe orchard fruits, combined with elderflower and grilled cashews. Its weight is finely balanced with crunchy, citrusy acidity. Excellent value.
94 points, Wine Enthusiast. ""There's a lovely harmony between fruit and toast on this classic Margaret River Chard: bright orange peel and melon rind with flint, warm stone, sea salt and toasted brioche. There's fruit weight and flavor depth on the palate, lifted by a vibrant crunch of acidity. The toasty, lees-y notes are subtle but ever-present, lending gravitas, texture and complexity. A top example of West Aussie Chard at an excellent price."
