100% Cabernet Franc from the volcanic clay and sandy loam soils of select vineyards in Napa Valley’s cooler south side (Los Carneros, Oak Knoll District and Yountville). Macerated for 21 days in stainless steel; spontaneous fermentation; and aged in 19% new Bossuet French oak for 18 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with zero added sulphur- zero/zero! 13.4% alcohol. The legendary Steve Matthiason is the winemaker here. This bold and structural red wine carries a mix of fruits, integrated spices, and mouthwatering length. Firm and delicious. Bouncy and outgoing, with explosive red fruit aromas like biting into a ripe, juicy plum, and fine, focused tannins. An earthiness with a light dusty character persists beyond the fruit on the brightly lit and seamless finish. The tannins are polished resulting in a light creamy texture.
