100% Barbera from estate vineyards farmed organically at approximately 886 feet altitude. Soils are primarily limestone and sand. Grapes are harvested in late September, then fermented in steel. The wine then ages for 18 months in large Slavonian oak — a traditional choice in Piemonte that adds structure without masking fruit. Alcohol is 14.5%, with naturally bright acidity, excellent balance, and noteworthy depth. Deep ruby in the glass with expressive aromas of blackberry, black cherry, plum skin, warm spice, cocoa powder, and a subtle forest-floor note that speaks to its hillside site. On the palate it’s generous and mouth-coating, with rich black fruit framed by bright acidity and a firm but polished structure. The finish is long, savory, and quietly powerful — the kind of finish that makes you immediately plan the meal you want to cook with it.
